The communique said that the north-south summit on April 27, 2018 serves as a significant occasion in improving the relations between the north and the south of Korea and ensuring peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and region.

Hoping that the "Panmunjom Declaration on Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula" would be thoroughly implemented, it expressed support to the future north-south dialogue and measures for the confidence-building and reconciliation for peace on the Korean peninsula.
