The Communist Party of Italy said it extended warm congratulations to Chairman Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea over the successful north-south summit meeting.

The Youth Front of the Communist Party of Italy stressed that the measures being taken by the DPRK government under the guidance of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un are of great importance in defending global peace from the moves of the imperialists.

The Italy-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture stated that the adoption of the Panmunjom declaration was a big stride made in the efforts for bringing about peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula through the great national unity.

The president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy who doubles as chairwoman of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty said she recollected the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the great statesmen, for national reunification while watching the image of Chairman Kim Jong Un crossing the demarcation line at Panmunjom.

The chairperson of the Italy-DPRK Association for Friendship and Cooperation expressed the will to further raise voices for support and solidarity with the just cause of the Korean people in the future, too, saying that the north-south summit meeting and talks which had added a significant page to the history are enjoying a warm welcome from the international community.
