Stop to North-targeted War Drill Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- A political party and an organization in south Korea held press conferences on May 15 and 16 in denunciation of the U.S. and south Korean authorities' joint air combat drill against the DPRK, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

Members of the People's Party demanded a halt to the U.S.-south Korea joint air combat drill at the press conference before Kwangju air force base.

A press release was read out at the press conference.

It said that they would not remain an onlooker to the war drill blocking the way of peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula.

The People's Action for Peace against War held a press conference at the Kwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul at which they said that the U.S. and the authorities should stop the joint air combat drill at once.
