Attending it were figures of various circles and popular masses of Nepal, including a high-ranking leader of the Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist) who is former prime minister, the DPRK ambassador to this country and staff members of his embassy.

Speeches were made at the event after a briefing on the inter-Korean summit and the Panmunjom Declaration was given.

Speakers stressed that the recent summit was an event of weighty significance in achieving peace and prosperity in the Korean peninsula.

Saying that the Panmunjom Declaration signed by the top leaders of the north and the south of Korea is of great significance in ensuring peace and stability not only of the Korean peninsula but also of the world, they hoped that Korea would be surely reunified through its full implementation. This is the unanimous wish of the Nepalese government and people, they added.
