The tournament was held divided into group of disabled and amateurs, age groups of man and woman amateurs and group of mixed amateurs. And foreigners attended the tournament.

What drew attention of spectators were the matches of aged persons.

In the tournament, 75 year-old Jo Chi Hwa, who has attended the tournament from 2010, was awarded the courage prize and over 60 year-old Ho Hui the specialty prize.

According to an official concerned, aged persons become more enthusiastic for attending the tournament year by year and their heated matches arouse great admiration among spectators.

After seeing matches, foreigners were admired to say that the matches of over 60 or 70 years old persons would have been mistaken for those of experts and the tournament showed well the optimistic life of the DPRK people and their pride is originated in the socialist system.
