The editorial said that not a few truths about the massacre by the military in the period of the May 18 Kwangju uprising have been revealed through several investigations till now but new testimonies are being raised one after another.

The editorial noted that the new committee for probing the truth should clarify the fact that violation of human rights of women and inhuman crimes have no statute of limitations.

The editorial stressed that it is a matter which brooks no further delay to condemn the reckless remarks of the former secretary of Chongwadae who wrote the "reminiscences" of Chun Doo Hwan.
