The editorial said that the U.S. could be easily involved in the Kwangju massacre because it practically controlled south Korean forces through the U.S. forces in south Korea and the south Korea-U.S. "Combined Forces Command".

It urged the U.S. to confess the responsibility on the massacre, though belatedly.
