The statement fully supported and welcomed all agreements made at the Panmunjom summit meeting, noting:

The Panmunjom Declaration reconfirmed the common desire of the Korean nation for achieving the reunification and prosperity of the Korean peninsula.

We positively support the independent stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK to reunify the country and put an end to the outsiders' interference in the internal affairs of the Korean peninsula.

All victories won by the Korean people in their struggle for ensuring peace and reunifying the country on the Korean peninsula mean the victory won by the progressive people to defend sovereignty.

Extending warm congratulations to the friendly Korean people, we will steadily develop the cooperative relations with the WPK in the joint struggle for building a free and prosperous new world.
