Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- Educational institutions in the DPRK have turned out in a drive to implement the decisions of the April 2018 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Keeping in their minds the strategic slogan "Let us make a leap forward by dint of science and guarantee the future by dint of education!", officials of the Education Commission set the targets for fresh achievements in the educational work and have directed their efforts to improving the qualification of university instructors and school teachers, introducing the superior teaching methods created by Pyongyang Teacher Training College into educational units across the country, etc. They are encouraging schools in Pyongyang to create more heuristics by applying advanced technologies like virtual reality technology. Ryulgok Senior Middle School in Songyo District, in particular, was set as a model of all the educational institutions in Pyongyang for having created 10-odd superior teaching methods in a short span of time. Big efforts have been paid to building the Central School for Teachers' In-service Training, remodeling the Education Books Printing Plant and modernizing production processes at teaching aids factories and enterprises. The Education Commission set forth the clear orientations for improving the qualification of university instructors and school teachers and has given detailed guidance to them, while heightening zeal for learning among students through tele-math contest of technical universities. Meanwhile, it has instigated scientific and technical forces at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and many other universities to make sci-tech achievements for different fields of the socialist economic construction, including metal, chemical and electric power industries. |
