Anti-DPRK War Exercises of U.S. and S. Korea Denounced
Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean military is busy staging Max Thunder joint air combat drill in collusion with the U.S. from May 11 under the pretext of "annual one". More than 100 fighters of various types of the U.S. and south Korea are involved in this anti-DPRK war rehearsal which will last till May 25.

Meanwhile, the south Korean military is hell-bent on arms buildup such as ceremony of launching Marado, a large amphibious transport ship for landing operation in contingency.

Minju Joson, in a commentary on Tuesday, denounces such moves as a provocation of those who are displeased with the positive trend of the situation on the Korean peninsula.

As recognized by the public at home and abroad, Max Thunder staged annually by the U.S. and the south Korean military is an anti-DPRK war drill for striking the strategic objects of the DPRK, the commentary says, and goes on:

This being a hard reality, they justify the large-scale joint air combat drill under the veil of "annual one," a clear indication that the U.S. and the south Korean military remain unchanged in their ulterior motive to stifle the DPRK by force at any cost.

It is a foolish daydream for the U.S. to get something by pressuring the DPRK by force.

The south Korean authorities are kicking up anti-DPRK hysteria in league with the outside forces even before the ink of the April 27 Declaration agreed on with the fellow countrymen got dry. They should be well aware that their reckless behavior is the crime that can never be pardoned by history and the nation.

If the U.S. and the south Korean authorities persist in the confrontation policy and war moves against the DPRK, oblivious of this fact, they will be held wholly accountable for all the ensuing consequences.

Dialogue and saber rattling can never go together.
