The world is praising the Panmunjom Declaration as a landmark of epoch-making significance in putting an end to the division of Korea as soon as possible and ushering in a new era of national reconciliation, peace and prosperity.

The publication of the declaration for peace, prosperity and reunification at Panmunjom is a manifestation of the unanimous desire of the entire Korean nation for reunifying the country by its concerted efforts.

We positively support and hail the Panmunjom Declaration, regarding it as the most reasonable line for defusing tension on the Korean peninsula and reunifying Korea.

The United Nations and every country should recognize the historic significance of the above-said declaration and show their disinterested sincerity for its thoroughgoing implementation, not doing any hostile act contrary to it.

Whoever wishes for global peace and security should positively back the Panmunjom Declaration reflecting the desire of the Korean nation.
