U.S., S. Korean Military Hostilities against DPRK Condemned in India
|

Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association made public a statement on May 17 to denounce the U.S. and south Korean authorities for staging the large-scale joint air combat drills contrary to the trend of the favorably developing situation on the Korean peninsula. Noting that the U.S. administration is leaving no means untried to block the implementation of the Panmunjom Declaration, the statement said: The Panmunjom Declaration clarified that the north and the south of Korea will stop all hostile acts toward each other -- a root cause of military tension and standoff in all spaces including the ground, the sea and the air. But the U.S. is viciously finding fault with the DPRK's human rights issue and, at the same time, staging the large-scale 2018 Max Thunder joint air combat drill all over south Korea. This presents an undisguised and intentional challenge to the declaration. The declaration can't be implemented through unilateral efforts, and only when the two sides pool their efforts to create favorable conditions and environment, it will lead to good fruition. We condemn the U.S. and south Korean authorities for their military hostile act against the DPRK and demand an immediate halt to it. We actively appeal to the Indian people and the world progressives to support the DPRK's peace-loving efforts. |
