Truth behind Hideous Massacre by Fascist Junta Disclosed
Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Ra Kyong Thaek, who had been a journalist of Jonnam Daily during the Kwangju Popular Uprising in south Korea, disclosed the truth behind the brutal killings committed by the Chun Doo Hwan and Roh Tae Woo fascist junta at a meeting of Koreans in the U.S. held in Los Angeles on May 18, according to a report.

He displayed some of the thousands of photos he had taken in May 1980 at the venue of the meeting to shed light on the brutal killings.

He said he had witnessed killings of an innocent citizen and a youngster by martial law soldiers.

He said he had been arrested by martial law soldiers while taking photos at the scene and interrogated several times by the soldiers pointing their guns at him.

Noting he heard at that time an officer asking his inferiors as to whether his order to open fire was carried out and one of them answering they had begun opening fire, he charged that no one has been punished for giving an order to open fire.
