New Objects Registered as National Intangible Heritages in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Eleven objects in the DPRK have been added to the national intangible heritages.

They include the method of manufacturing porcelain with spots, Kyongsong hot-spring sand therapy, folk song "Yangsando", shuttlecock game, bean-curd making and earthenware manufacturing method.

The method of producing porcelain with spots is a handicraft heritage that has been carried forward since its emergence as a peculiar porcelain handicraft technique for retaining the harmony of natural colors in Koryo period.

This technique is a valuable cultural treasure of significance in conveying the peculiar porcelain handicraft technology created by the ancestors.

The well-known Kyongsong hot-spring sand therapy has been traditionally used for treatment of diseases and recuperation.

Folk song "Yangsando", one of the typical folk songs in Korea, and shuttlecock game loved by children further enrich national sentiment and flavor and the treasure-house of the nation's cultural heritages.

Bean-curd making and earthenware manufacturing method also help develop the diverse and highly civilized dietary culture of the Korean nation and improve the material and cultural living standard of the people.
