The spokesperson noted that a recent formal document brought to light the truth behind the massacre committed by the Chun Doo Hwan military fascist clique during the crackdown on the Kwangju Popular Uprising.

The crimes, committed by the Chun Doo Hwan military dictatorial forces during the uprising, such as the massive fire by the martial law enforcement troops, helicopter strafing and mass sexual assault have been fully revealed, but Chun Doo Hwan, the chief culprit of the massacre, denies the facts, refusing to show the slightest sign of self-examination, the spokesperson charged.

The spokesperson stressed that the truth behind the suppression of the May 18 Kwangju uprising should be probed.
