Present there were Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, officials of the youth league, youth and students, and members of the delegation led by Grigory Petushkov, chairman of the National Council of the Russian Association of Youth and Children.

Speeches were made at the gathering.

Pak Chol Min warmly welcomed the delegation's visit to the DPRK this significant year marking the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Russia.

The visit will be a good occasion in promoting the friendly and cooperative ties between the youth organizations of the two countries onto a new high level, Pak said, hoping that the Russian youth and people would achieve bigger successes in the work to build powerful Russia.

Grigory Petushkov said he could know well about the fact that the DPRK has attached big efforts to the work for youth, expressing the will to strive for the strengthening of the friendly relations with the youth league of the DPRK.

He expressed the belief that the Korean youths would take the lead in the drive to implement the new strategic line set forth by the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un at the Third Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

There was a performance by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Youth League.
