S. Korea: Retrogressive Revision of Law on Minimum Wage Protested
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- People of different strata in south Korea reportedly launched actions protesting the authorities' scheme for retrogressive revision of the law on minimum wage in Seoul and other areas.

The Confederation of Trade Unions went on a sit-in strike across south Korea on May 20. It declared that they would continue the full-scale strike until the ruling party has made clear its stand to prevent the retrogressive revision of the law.

Meanwhile, a lawmaker from the People's Party called a joint press conference in support of the workers' struggle on May 21.

Citizens from different walks of life have joined in the people's movement against the retrogressive revision of the law on minimum wage.
