Japanese Reactionaries Blasted for Claiming Tok Islets
|

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The Japanese authorities of late worked out a diplomatic blue paper claiming again that Tok Islets are "part of Japan's inviolable territory". Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Saturday says it is the height of effrontery and a gangster-like and impudent conduct. The commentary goes on: The reactionaries of Japan are running high fever in making the public at home and abroad recognize its "dominium over Tok Islets". This is aimed to implant in the mind of their people including the younger generation the idea that the islets are "lost land", arouse their revengeful thought and thus use them as a shock brigade for realizing the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere". No matter how hard they may try to make international bodies and other countries recognize Japan's dominium over the islets, it will prove futile. Recently Valeri Glushikov, professor at Moscow Physics Technology University of Russia and an expert on Asian geography, contended that the islets belong to Korea. He, in his book "Ullung Island and Tok Islets on East Sea", wrote that the treaties and agreements made by the Soviet Union with the U.S. and the UK between 1943 and 1951 show that Tok Islets are part of Korea's inviolable territory. Many experts on international affairs have ascertained that the islets are part of Korea's territory. The Japanese reactionaries should not dream about reinvasion while going reckless to grab the islets, but make an apology and reparation for the crime-woven history as early as possible. |
