S. Korea: Former Investigator of Security Command Found Guilty
Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- An investigator at the former security command of south Korea was reportedly sentenced to prison term on May 28 for having cooked up the spy case of a Japan-resident Korean.

When serving the then security command as a core investigator in 1984, he arrested a Korean student in Japan who was studying in south Korea and tortured him to wrest a false confession.

Thus the student was suspected of being a spy and had to serve 7-year prison term.

Later he was found not guilty and a probe into the investigator was intensified.

The victim called for a heavy punishment on the former investigator.
