At the talks DPRK Foreign Minster Ri Yong Ho and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed the issues of further strengthening the relations between the two countries with a long history and tradition and marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations with practical results in the development of the bilateral relations on the basis of the agreements reached at the top-level meetings.

Besides, both sides had an exchange of views on the international issues of common interest, including the situation on the Korean peninsula positively developing thanks to the pro-active efforts of the DPRK.

Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other Foreign Ministry officials and from the Russian side the foreign minister's party and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK and staff members of his embassy.

At the end of the talks, the Russian foreign minister had a press conference with reporters at home and abroad.
