Attending it were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK; Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet; Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission; and officials concerned, kindergarteners, kindergarten teachers and women here.

Present there were members of foreign embassies and missions of international bodies here, foreign children and women and other foreign guests and overseas compatriots.

Jang Chun Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, made an address at the gathering.

Children danced to the tune of song "Flower Buds Holiday" and did a rhythmic exercise for kindergarteners.

Then sports and amusement games were held.

After the games children had a pleasant time, dancing and enjoying amusement facilities.

Meanwhile, International Children's Day was marked in each province, city and county.
