From the beginning of the year the DPRK made clear its will to defend peace on the Korean Peninsula and make active contribution to world peace and security, took measures on its own initiative and thus made the atmosphere of detente envelop the Korean Peninsula.

It is a great achievement that dramatic turnaround of situation has been brought to the Korean Peninsula that had been harassed by constant confrontation and rising tension for decades.

At this point, it is an important issue to build durable peace based on such achievement.

The present situation urgently requires countries responsible for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula to take practical steps for peace on the peninsula from responsible and serious stand and attitude.

Invariable is the stand of the DPRK to ensure peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and make active contribution to the world peace and stability, and the DPRK will fulfill its responsibility and duties for peace and stability on the peninsula and the region in the future, too.

The countries responsible for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula have to actively join the DPRK's sincere efforts and realize the desire and wish of humankind to see lasting and durable peace settle on the peninsula.
