Joint National Meeting of KCU Held
Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- A joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) organizations for celebrating its 72nd founding anniversary took place at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Wednesday.

Attending the meeting were delegates to the celebrations of the 72nd founding anniversary of the KCU and schoolchildren in Pyongyang City.

Invited there were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned and officials of the youth league.

All the participants paid tributes to the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, made a report.

He said that the history covered by the KCU, a massive political organization of the Korean children, is the one of love and trust by the great leaders and the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who called the children the king of the country and regarded the work for the coming generation as the most important one of the Party and the state.

He called upon all the members of the KCU to firmly prepare themselves to be competent revolutionary talents who are knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy and reliable reserves for building a powerful socialist country.

He also called upon them to bear in mind the pride and self-confidence of being members of Kim Il Sung's and

Kim Jong Il's children's union, Kim Jong Un's children's organization, and powerfully advance flying high the flag of the KCU under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

Then, speeches were made.
