Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The Kumbit Essential Plastic Goods Company in the DPRK recently developed nano-antibacterial epoxy resin paint. Its sterilizing power reaches over 99.5 percent and ultraviolet-intercepting power more than 80 percents. And its serviceable life is over two times longer than that of existing epoxy resin paint. It has been applied to the Pyongyang Taegyong Laver Processing Factory, Ryugyong Fermented Soybean Factory, Korea General Red Cross Hospital and many other units, proving effective. The paint was registered as a national patent. In this regard, Paek Yong Chol, a staff of the company, told KCNA: With the help of the Sci-Tech Complex built thanks to the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea to attach importance to science, technicians of the company succeeded in introducing the surface-treatment technology based on nano-antibacterial materials into producing antibacterial paint. On this basis, the company expands the usefulness of nano-antibacterial materials by applying them to the production of acrylate resin, polyurethane resin and other paints. |
