Schoolchildren Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The delegates to the celebrations of the 72nd founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. At the old home of the President, they grasped the revolutionary careers of his family members, looking round historical mementoes preserved there, and then went round study and wrestling sites, etc. where the President climbed Mangyong Hill in his childhood and cultivated his mind and strong will of hating the Japanese imperialists and loving the country. They went to the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, where they renewed their will to become dependable pillars of powerful and prosperous Korea by inheriting the fighting spirit of the revolutionary forerunners. They also made a visit to the Youth Movement Museum, where they placed bunches of flowers at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il among youth and children and paid tribute to them. They looked round historical data and mementoes on display. The delegates toured the venue of the "national exhibition of children's science fictions and models - 2018" and the Central Class Education House and had a good time at the Rungna People's Pleasure Park, the Rungna Dolphinarium, the Central Zoo and other centers for cultural and emotional life. |
