Rodong Sinmun Blasts Asahi Shimbun for Smearing DPRK

Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Asahi Shimbun of late ran a conspiratorial article defaming the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and malignantly twisting its reality. Its author was Yoshihiro Makino, the chief of the Seoul Bureau of the newspaper notorious as conservative hack writer.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday comments that the smear campaign against the DPRK by Makino and the paper was aimed at marring the atmosphere of the reconciliation and unity among Koreans and the detente prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

The commentary goes on:

Such a reckless act is also part of the actions against the DPRK being conducted under the wire pulling of the Abe group who are chafing at "passing Japan."

However the Japanese tricksters are sadly mistaken.

Japan's hack writers and tricksters should not forget one thing.

No matter how desperately they may hurl mud at the DPRK through third-rate propaganda, they will have nothing to gain. It will never work on the DPRK.

Those going reckless to tarnish the image of the dignified DPRK will have to pay dearly for their actions wherever they are.
