Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, its vice-chairwoman and chairwoman of the Union Central Standing Committee, and vice-chairwomen of it and deputies selected at the union organizations at all levels.

A congratulatory message from the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to the 24th Congress of Chongryon was read out at the congress.

Ho Jong Man said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's congratulatory message contains a high estimation of the warm patriotic loyalty of the members of the women's union and successes made by them in their work of encouraging their husbands to do patriotic work and of bringing up their children to be future pillars, while regarding hardships of all descriptions as pleasure.

Kang Chu Ryon made a report to be followed by speeches.

Japanese personages made solidarity speeches at the congress. Also read out there was congratulatory messages from Japanese personages.

Kang Chu Ryon was reelected chairwoman of the Union Central Standing Committee.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the congress.

At the end of the congress there took place the first meeting of the 30th Central Committee of the Union.
