Jozef Servista, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and first vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from June 20 to July 10 and decided to organize political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the personality of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the peerlessly great man.
