Atul Kumar Anjan, secretary of the National Council of the Communist Party of India and chairman of the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 15 to July 10 and decided to give wide media publicity to the revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung and his exploits for the Korean revolution and global independence and organize political and cultural events including remembrance meeting, seminar, photo exhibition and lecture.
