Javid Ahmad, director of the Administrative Department of the Kuwait Times and chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold political and cultural events including seminar and film show praising the revolutionary career and exploits of the President from June 15 to July 9.
