Presented at the symposium, opened under the theme of "The hot wind of greenhouse vegetable farming, cultivation and introduction of various vegetable species" on June 11, were successes and experience gained in introducing various species in greenhouse vegetable production last year. And there were sci-tech and practical lectures dealing with problems in establishing the technologies of cultivating and seeding highly nutritious vegetable variety.

Appreciated there were sci-tech proposals of great practical significance including papers on the biological character and cultivation technology of newly-bred cabbage, tomato and etc.

Attending the closing-ceremony were Pak Thae Dok, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Jae Hyon, vice-minister of Agriculture, Kim Kwang Uk, president of the Academy of Agricultural Science, officials concerned and scientists, technologists and cultivators of greenhouse vegetable production field and scientific and educational organs.
