Rodong Sinmun Hits Japan for Talking about "Threat" from DPRK
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Japan is working hard to deploy Aegis Ashore, a new-type interceptor missile system, at any cost, under the pretext of coping with "threat" from the DPRK.

Minister of Defense Onodera was reported that he would visit Akita and Yamaguchi prefectures, the sites for the deployment of the new-type interceptor missile system, to discuss it.

Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday says in a commentary that the DPRK cannot but take a serious note of such scheme as it is an act of blocking the peaceful climate on the Korean peninsula and bringing dark clouds of escalating tension to the region.

It goes on:

It is preposterous for Japan to talk about the need to deploy the system for "defense."

What matters is why Japan is citing "threat" from the DPRK so vociferously.

"Threat" from the DPRK is used as an indispensable excuse for the Abe group to stay in power.

Abe came to power, considering the hostile policy toward the DPRK as a means. Whenever the Abe regime found itself in a tight corner, it has defused a political crisis, talking about "threat" from the DPRK.

That's why the Abe group driven into a predicament in the wake of scandals is talking a lot about "threat" again.

Abe seeks to use "threat" from the DPRK for the purpose of making Japan a war state.

If Japan revises the constitution, it will be a war state.

The Japanese people want to keep up the existing constitution called the "Pacifist Constitution."

The Abe group seeks to advertise "threat" from the DPRK so as to increase uneasiness and fear among the people and gain support for the revision of the constitution from them.

If the Abe group rushes headlong into the road of building a war state, it will meet only isolation and self-destruction.
