In this regard, Pong Mun Chol, head of the manufactory, told KCNA:

The manufactory set it as a goal to develop more technologies and products with global competitiveness.

Recently, it has developed over 10 new technologies and products, including technologies for comprehensive use of apatite and geotherm, computer-integrated manufacturing and automatic control systems for small and medium hydro-power stations and a device for measuring the greenhouse conditions.

One of its best products is the active electric boiler which is energy-saving high-tech equipment.

The boiler, divided into two kinds--one for producing steam and the other for heating water, won the domestic and international patents for consuming 30-40 percent less electric power than existing ones and having a great utility value.

It has been introduced into over 300 units, proving effective.

Meanwhile, three-phase solar-power device, reflective solar water heater, air sterilizer and other new products were introduced by various units to be conducive to building an economic power and improving the people's standard of living.

The manufactory inaugurated in June Juche 100 (2011) is putting spurs to developing more new technologies and products on the basis of proper management and development strategies.
