Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The remembrance committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung for the global cause of independence and his career and hold political and cultural events including remembrance meeting and film show with the approach of the 24th anniversary of his demise.
