The statement welcomed the joint statement adopted between Chairman Kim Jong Un and President Trump, saying that the first historic DPRK-U.S. summit and talks were the most important political event in the 21st century, which made a great stride to achieving peace on the Korean peninsula.

The statement also noted that the august name of Kim Jong Un executing an independent foreign policy will be recorded in the world history.
