Rodong Sinmun Ridicules Japanese Politicians' Impudent Remarks
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Speaking before the independent Dietmen's group some days ago, Abe said that Japan would "keep current sanctions until the DPRK takes specific steps toward denuclearization".

In another development Japanese Foreign Minister Kono flew to Indonesia to ask for "cooperation in the efforts for the DPRK's complete denuclearization".

At a Geneva disarmament conference, the Japanese delegate "urged the DPRK to make more efforts for denuclearization".

Rodong Sinmun in a commentary Wednesday ridicules them as impudent demeanor of those seized by the hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The commentary says that it is quite natural that if the Japanese politicians have an iota of political sense, they have to think twice, seeing how the strategic structure in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world changes and how the wind blows.

However, the Abe group is talking about the outdated sanctions only to show its pitiful plight, the commentary says, and goes on:

Japan should stop poking its nose into the issue of the Korean Peninsula and do what it is obliged.

It is a criminal state which inflicted untold misfortune and sufferings upon the Korean people during the military occupation of Korea and colonial rule over it in the first half of the last century.

It should properly redeem the pending past rather than trying to interfere in the issue of ensuring peace in the Korean Peninsula and the region.

As long as Japan refuses to redeem the past, its top task, it will be left alone in the region.
