Songchit Pullarp, chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand, was elected as chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting, a seminar on exploits and a film show on the occasion of the anniversary demise of the President.
