Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, was elected as chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of the President and hold political and cultural events on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of his demise.
