The stadium was crowded with Pyongyang citizens, sportspersons and overseas compatriots who came to see the games.

The men and women teams from the north and the south held friendship games, being divided into the Red Team and the Blue Team.

The players displayed high technique and noble virtue in the matches through good combination of assault and defense under team tactics.

The Blue Team won in the women's match and the Red Team in the men's match.

After watching the games, Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, and leading members of the south side's delegation and the players' group led by Minister of Unification Jo Myong Gyun congratulated the players upon their successful matches.
