Number of Memorial Stones on Increase
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The world progressive people have continued to send memorial stones to the Tower of the Juche Idea standing on the bank of the Taedong River in Pyongyang, the DPRK.

The tower was completed in Juche 71 (1982) in reflection of the desire of the Korean people and the world progressives to praise the greatness of the immortal Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and convey it for all ages.

Kim Hye Ran, a section chief at the Management Office of the Tower of the Juche Idea and the Arch of Triumph, told KCNA:

This year, a delegation of the Communist Party of the People of Spain presented a memorial stone to the tower. Organizations and personages of different countries including China, Russia and Iran sent rare stones to the tower for the last 24 years after the demise of the President (July 8, 1994).

Engraved in the stones are such letters as "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung will always be with us", "Long live the great Juche idea" and "The Juche Idea Will Shine forever" which represent the faith of the world progressives ardently sympathizing, supporting and adhering to the great Juche idea that has manifested its infinite attraction and vitality together with the trend of the era of independence.

On display at the tower are stones that have presented by several hundreds units and personages of over 100 countries and international bodies since its unveiling, according to data available.

Kim said that the number of foreign visitors to the tower is on the steady increase and nearly 300 000 foreigners have visited the tower after the demise of the President.
