Rodong Sinmun says that the President is a peerless statesman and great man who founded the undying Juche idea and applied it and thus set an example of the times in socialist construction, adding:

While leading the revolution, the President raised socialist construction of Juche as the general goal and settled our own way all the issues arising in socialist construction in conformity with the requirement of the Korean revolution and the specific realities of the country.

It is the President that consistently adhered to the principle of independence and thus built up the mighty driving force of revolution and frustrated all counter-revolutionary and anti-socialist offensives of all the enemies, thus leading the two revolutionary wars, the postwar rehabilitation, the social revolution of two stages and socialist construction to victory.

He has directed primary efforts to strengthening the unity, regarding it as the mainstay of revolution since he started the revolutionary struggle.

His lifetime was one of his comradely love and trust in his revolutionary soldiers, and his leadership was the most popular one in which he braved storms and stress of every description in the history by finding himself among the people and making them give full play to their mental power.

For the President, the people-first principle was the basic principle of socialist construction.

The Party developed into a mother party which is fully responsible for the destiny of the people and is taking care of them, the state power discharged the mission as the householder responsible for the living conditions of the people and the People's Army grew to be creator and defender of the people's happiness in the days when the President embodied the noble idea of believing in the people as in Heaven.

Minju Joson also praises the President as the benefactor of the nation and the eternal sun of socialist Korea as he provided a priceless asset for the eternal prosperity of the country and people, the eternal cornerstone for accomplishing the socialist cause.
