Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association and chairman of the Slovak Association for Supporting and Studying the Juche Idea, was elected as chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize various political and cultural events such as a lecture and film show to introduce the successes being registered by the Korean people in building a powerful socialist country.
