Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a commentary denounces Kono's remarks as buffoonery of a political charlatan who never knows what to do.

Japan is impotent in eventful political and diplomatic arena where efforts are made to solve the issue of the Korean peninsula, says the commentary, and goes on:

Japan is near to the Korean Peninsula. But Japan is a burglar that historically inflicted wars and misfortune and pain of colonial rule upon Korea, a shameless rogue that justifies its crimes while persistently evading the settlement of its past woven with hideous crimes against humanity and the sworn enemy that tries to stifle the DPRK while continuing to resort to the hostile policy.

Japan is wholly to blame for the hostile relations between DPRK and Japan. If it has no will to thaw the hostile DPRK-Japan relations that have remained frozen for a long time, it should give up the idea of meddling in the issue of the Korean peninsula.

Clear is the job to be done by Japan. It must properly settle its crime-woven past, to begin with.

Herein lies the reason why the international community denounces Japan as a war criminal and a political dwarf, though it is zealously showing off money bag.

First of all Japan should make a sincere apology and reparation for the past crimes.
