S. Korea: Thorough Probe into Truth behind Military Coup Plot Demanded

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The people's action for judging the massacres of civilians and fabrication of conspiracies by Chun Doo Hwan in south Korea held a press conference at the "National Assembly" on July 17 to demand a thorough-going probe into the illegal acts of the Defense Security Command, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Saram Ilbo.

Speakers said that the special investigation group for the purpose of probing the truth behind the military coup plot of the Command was formed and started its work.

They demanded a NA hearing for bringing the procedures for the probe into the truth by the investigation group to the knowledge of the people.

They stressed that the Command has to be disbanded at any cost as it conducted the illegal surveillance of civilians and played a role of a political agency.
