New Seawater Sterilizer Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Fishery in the DPRK has developed a new seawater sterilizer.

Kim Song, section chief of the institute, told KCNA:

The sterilizer with the function of numerical control is a non-diaphragm electrolytic one for producing sterilized seawater without using disinfectant.

The sterilization rate reaches over 99.8 percent. And the quality of sterilized seawater is preserved for 2 or 3 days in summer and about 15 days in winter, when being kept away from direct rays of light.

The sterilizer proves effective in improving the quality and hygienic safety of marine products.

It is applicable to fishery, food industry, public catering and other sectors in need of germ-free condition.
