Attending it were Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and director general of the General Affairs Department of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon (the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan), Kim Song Hun, director of the Department for Publicity and Culture, Ri Chong Gyong, managing director of the Standing Council of the Federation, and other deputies.

Read out there was a congratulatory message from the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to the 24th Congress of Chongryon.

A congratulatory message from the DPRK Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports was introduced.

Ri Chong Gyong said in a report that during the period under review, Marshal Kim Jong Un made sure that sportspersons of Chongryon took part in the 7th National Conference of Sportspersons held in Pyongyang and received his letter "Let Us Usher in a New Golden Age of Building a Sports Power in the Revolutionary Spirit of Paektu" and that they had a photo taken with him.

Ri noted that under the Marshal, officials and players of the Federation were awarded Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize and title of Merited Athlete, and lots of Chongryon players could compete in several international games to represent the homeland.

Ri stressed that the officials and players of sports organizations in Japan would conduct diverse activities for the development of sports of the homeland and Chongryon.

There were speeches.

Han Yong Sam was selected as chairman of the Federation and Kim Jong Chi as managing director of its Standing Council.

There was also an address by Pae Jin Gu.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
