S. Korean Intellectuals Call for Economic Reform

Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Network for Intellectuals' Declaration of south Korea composed of intellectuals including an honorary professor of Songgyungwan University held a press conference in Seoul on July 18 and released a declaration urging the authorities to reform economy.

The economic policy of the present regime recently tends to retrogress, the declaration said, adding:

Criticism is mounting over minimum wage hike and conflict is festering in the economically vulnerable class.

Failure in economic reform is likely to lead to failure of the present regime.
