Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) had a meeting with a war veteran at the Hall of Women on Tuesday to mark the 65th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. Present there were Jang Chun Sil, chairwoman of the C.C., SWUK, officials concerned and officials and members of the union. Labor Hero Jon Ku Gang, a lecturer at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, spoke at the meeting. She talked about the war days when they won victories on battlefields under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung. Noting that she had lived in grief and agony as a member of the stateless nation, she said she became a student under the care of Kim Il Sung after the liberation of the country. She went to the war front and fought as a medical officer to defend the beloved homeland, she added. The ever-victorious history and traditions created by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il invariably continue as the Korean revolution is guided by the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, another illustrious commander, she said. She requested all the officials and members of the women's union to fully display the mettle of the heroic Korean women in the efforts to implement the decision of the April Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. |
