Present there were officials, researchers, technicians, teachers and graduate students of various units including the Ministry of Mining Industry, the Central Mining Research Institute and the Ferrous Mining Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences and Kim Chaek University of Technology.

Presented to it, divided into excavating and dressing panels, were more than 100 valuable papers on research achievements conducive to developing the country's mining industry.

There were also a lecture and a video show on sci-tech successes and experience gained in increasing the rate of ore-mining and the tunneling speed and improving the technical indexes of ore dressing.
