Professorship was conferred on heads of departments Son Kwang Su, Pak Myong Nam, Pang To Il, Kwak Il Hwan, Kim Yong Jo and Sin Myong Ho, section chiefs Jang Jae Sik and An Chol Ho and teacher Kim Yu Sin of Kim Il Sung University; dean of a faculty Kim Chol Ho and heads of departments Ri Pyong Sol and Pak Kil Hung, section chiefs Kim Chon Ung and Kim Yong San and teacher Im Song Il of Kim Chaek University of Technology; head of a department Kim Jae Ung of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering; researcher Kim Ha of University of Sciences; researcher Han Ryong Suk of Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts; principal of Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 Pang Sung Son; and section chief of the Academy of Social Sciences Ji Hwa San and others.

Doctorate went to Pak Chang Son, vice-rector of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Jin Suk, head of a department of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, and Sin Uk Yon, head of a department of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, and others, associate professorship to 147 persons and master's degree to 851 persons.

The awarding-ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Wednesday.
